I currently have a 1meter solid Orbital dish [motorised] and the time has come to replace my dish.Reason I need to do this is that the dish has rusted at an alarming rate over the last 12 months due to the fact that I live one mile from the salty sea on the North Cornwall coast, the Orbital dish has lasted 6 years.

I keep looking at the Triax 1.1 dish,is this dish better for staving off rust?.

Also I currently have a Sharp 0.3lnb on my Orbital dish, would the LNB marry up with the Triax dish or would I be better off with a 0.2lnb on the Triax?.

Regards
jay

perhaps you should be looking for a fibreglass dish
my dish is fibreglass channel master 1.2mtr
dont think there is a need to change the lnb if you decided on the triax

andrews dishes will last you a lifetime but not recommended for diseqc motors also consider the funke 1m alloy dish nice and light and no rust

Get an Orbital Aluminium Dish it will outperform Triax 1.1 any day I am using one had the same problem with rust on the steel dish also the Sharp LNB is still about the best I am using one too
