The current Octagon fw does not scan Astra2 TP 11428H 27500 for ITV-HD. Instead, it stores a radio station "10510" with the correct sid (10510), a-pid, & pcr-pid, but no v-pid.
I tried to use the channel settings editor OctagonSoftToolv1.00 (here in Tools section) to edit the .udb Unfortunatelty, there's a bug, and it won't let me add a new TV channel with a 5-digit sid :(
Bad luck too - the only TV service on that TP "Brit Shorts" has 4-digit sid so we can't modify that :(
The best we can do for this channel until either patches for the receiver firmware (TP scanner) or OctagonSoftToolv1.00 (5 digit SID's) are available, is to use OctagonSoftTool to edit the radio channel "10510" & enter the v-pid value 3401. Change the name too, if you want, to "ITV HD".
Finally upload the modified .udb to the rx. The channel will appear in the list of radio services, but the video will be displayed, albeit marred by the dancing graphic equaliser. Is there a user-option to turn this off?

You dont need to use Octagon Tool for ITV HD mate, Just go to Manual scan select the ITV HD TP and go to Pid edid and enter the 4 digit Video and audio pids's and scan it will come up as User Channel and just rename it as ITV HD,
Sayin that there is no sound on ITV HD thats needs to be fixed and i belive they are working on it..

I found that if I use the newly released setedit918HD (in tools/editors here) to modify the radio station 10510 which the Octagon falsely stores when it scans that TP, I now have sound on ITV HD :)
Save your .udb onto a USB stick (press <info> after inserting usb device)
Open .usb in setedit.
Click on Satellite 28.2E
Click on TP 11428H
Double Click on Radio Station 10510
Change name -> ITV HD, Service Type -> AVC HD TV, insert Video PID 3401.
Save
Put stick back in Octagon & select modified .udb to download the new settings.

I could not even get my channels to backup on to USB stick.
Put USB stick in and press info but nothing happened, so used rs232 cable and setedit918 but that did not list 10510 anywhere.
Any how I have picture by just doing the simple manual scan, have to wait for audio fix.

Yep - ITV HD1 all fine & dandy - just need them to start some programmming :D
Edit: Maybe they'll show a fim later tonight? Last night it was a film with Bob Hoskins I was watching (and listening to lol)

Just post 28.2e if you like.
Then me or efeoglu could try and load it and test.

OK done it, never needed your file but thanks any way.
Some reason I could not save udb on USB stick unless a firmware file was on the stick also.
Now that ive done that I have changed 10510 to itv hd like you said and reloaded it.
Just need to wait for something to be on, me thinks it might be a long wait.
I can't see what is different from doing it in box it self via control panel, all you doing is changing name from 10510 to itv hd and adding pid 3401 which is what you do via receivers menu.
Oh well lets see if it works, com'on itv broadcast something on this channel.

Hi Keano. According to archiesat's post in the hdtv section, "the mummy returns is on this saturday 16th 4:45pm itv hd". Where can we get listings for this channel?
If you have a sound system capable of doing Dolby Digital, you should now see the DD icon light up on your amp (assuming you have connected up with optical cable etc) even when the "test card" is showing.

The Mummy Returns has just started. You got sound too Keano?

Forgot all about it until saw this.
OK had a quick look and all is good, picture and sound coming through standard hdmi cable.
Never even tried the optical cable.
So I can't see what needs fixing because all ive done is like you, rename 10510 to itv hd and change it tv hd and put in pids.
Can't watch the film now though got to watch keano's boys try and beat liverpool.

So I can't see what needs fixing because all ive done is like you, rename 10510 to itv hd and change it tv hd and put in pids.If you compare the patched/fixed radio channel "10510" with the "User CH" created by efeoglu's method in post 2 of this thread, you can see that the "User CH" is missing the correct Ch.ID value 10510 & PMT PID value 3400.
You might think that you could fix "User CH" by inserting those values with SetEdit918. But if you try it, you still get no DD audio. Strange.
Conclusion -> only way to get audio on ITV HD is to edit Octaggon's saved radio channel "10510".

Guys you have to save your settings to a usb stick then open software setedit 918.
Make changes to 10510 save back to usb stick and then load to receiver.
Follow gooseye guide and it does work 100%
Save your .udb onto a USB stick (press <info> after inserting usb device)
Open .usb in setedit.
Click on Satellite 28.2E
Click on TP 11428H
Double Click on Radio Station 10510
Change name -> ITV HD, Service Type -> AVC HD TV, insert Video PID 3401.
Save
Put stick back in Octagon & select modified .udb to download the new settings.
