please help

i just got a passion hd box and when i switched it on for the first time it keeps powering off can anyone give any suggestions im getting worried

anybody have any ideas?make sure no short in coax cable or the unit could be faulty take it back for a replacement just to add does it actually power off or just stand by if it just goes to stand by then this is normal mine does the same from power on the unit then goes to stand but you only need to press the on button on the remote and the receiver will work fine unless it actually powers down then you may have a problem

i sorted it thanx m8 belive it or not the batterys which were supplied with the box had different voltage levels and kept powering down the box i changed them and its fine now
