I have bought 2 One XL models as presents-one is brand new and one is 6 mths old.

In the menu when I select TomTom Services-TomTom Safety Cameras both units differ as follows:

The used one brings up all the safety camera menu about editing and warning sounds etc but the new one shows a screen saying " You can join this service and download safety camera locations to your device using TomTom HOME".

I have copied the speedcam files into the map on the new device.

Is there any way I can get the safety camera menu options to come up without subscribing to them on tomtom home?

I have already put a post on ipmart forum with no response and wondered if you could help as to why the full safety camera options do not display?

Don't know sorry - I've only ever used the pgpsw camera files.

Copy the 2 files into the Map folder on your TomTom (.Ov2 & .ver).

Download Easyusetools

as youve been on ipmart-forum search for it on there.

Click 'RunMeforAllAutomatic' and on the first screen select option 1 or 2 depending on what Navcore you have.

Then select option 1 to patch the Map & Camera files.

Once done start it again, but this time instead of using option 1, use 2 to patch the TTsystem file.

That's it, now you should have the required .dct files in the Map folder.

Thanks for your advice-I had already tried that but each time it said you cannot use this map with this device.

I obtained a ttsystem already patched 8.010 from ipmart-forum and substituted that in the unit and hey presto all now working and it now gives me the full safety camera options so the info required to open up these options must be contained in the ttsystem.
