New HD skin

just thought you might like to know there's a new HD skin on the Gemini site by Kerni....IMO it's the greatest there's ever been, colours, listings, display, fabulous:applause-003:

If so that looks good, but messes up the clock on the front of the dm800.

Kerni´s HD skin for 800 is the greatest skin seen so far for any Dreambox.

Different to the skin I thought it was.

Does look good, only issue I have with it, is that you have no idea what signal levels your getting :(

For the Newbies into Dreambox -- there has been two requests for info how to put the Skin into the DM800 someone post how2 :D

Ok this is how.

go to DCC then ftp

var/share/enigma2 in here put the file e2-Kerni-HD1-Skin across to your DM800 remember to change attribute of the file to 755

then go back to var

var/uninstall put the file uninstall in hereand change the attribute to 755 also

then just exit DCC

go to DM800 menu install then skins in there the new skin will be

Installed great -- But installed a Plug -- some share thing -- now DM800 wont boot - Cant you FTP in and unistall say a plug in?

Bad one will have a read see if it is possible to uninstall a plugin manuelly using ftp. Can you still ftp the dm800 if not then it looks like you'll have to reflash it using nullmodem cable and dreamup.

Yep its gone. Going to put a Image on it. just be very carefull of loading Plugs onto the box!

Sorry to say not working here either.

Mines working 100% now -- Just reinstalled everything!

Make sure you reboot your box after putting the Skin in the right place. Then go-menu - settings->skins and select it -- then restart.

:respect-050: Ok finally got it go to menu>setup>system>skin and choose skin Kerni-HD1 :respect-059:

it seems some of you are having trouble installing the skin after you've found it, all you've got to do is open your ftp prog put the .tar.gz file in /tmp go to the DB> blue button>addons>select file by ok'ing it...it'll load and install......then>menu>skins.....you know the rest.

but note it remains a beta and its abit slow in browsing channel listing

The skin is out of beta now, final was released 16.8.2008 by Kerni.
