hi, a relative of mine asks is it possible to record onto ordinary dvd from
hard drive {on retrieved sly plus}, i assume you can but wish expert reply thanks lads.

Hi mate yes you can.What you need to do is connect the second scart output on sly+ box(think its maked vcr) to your dvd recorder.Then on dvd recorder select the correct input the sly has been connected to.(usually av2 or av3)You should then be able to see the output from sly box on dvd now.You can then go into tv giude>planner and see your recorded programs on sly box.What you can do now is use the red copy button to highlight the programs you want to record onto disc and set them.Then press play on sly box and record on dvd box and it should start to record them.If you only want to record 1 you only need to press play on the correct program.Hope this makes sence..

Not sure if it has been cured but doing a multiple program copy used to leave the 4x3 / 16x9 flag set to whatever the first program was. So it is better to do one program at a time.

Pity there isn't an easy way to digitally stream from a Sly+ box.
