I am running a DM800HD with internal HDD 250gb. From Seagate.
The machine does get warm, but I have not yet experienced any problems related to that.

ive an internal hd running on my 800 without any probs
Very interesting reading thought the 7020 HDD would fit but I guess not, maybe I'll just fit an external Hdd drive altogether and get a new one for my PC, not quiet sure yet. Thanks for all the info :respect-050:

I use an external Sata 3.5" HDD in an enclosure connected via usb to my Kathrein receiver. This records perfectly OK but as it has an external power supply, I am not sure if it would ever go to standby, so I have to switch it off when not in use otherwise it is constantly spinning. Does anyone know how to overcome this as the dreambox internal HDD could be set to standby after a certain time.
