dm800 streaming to pc

using nab image db ip address in browser ie exlorer in vista trying to stream to pc I either get wmp saying cannot play the file if i install vlc i get page cannot be displayed.
I have 720 that streams fine .is there setting in the dm800 in webif or whatever that need tweaking.Should vlc show up in webif when installed
