It's a great box to start with. The Fortec Passion was my first box (still got it) before I moved on to a Technomate 69000 HD.

It has a reasonable picture quality, well set out menu system and good value for money.

It's weak sides seem to be sensitivity and how hot it gets when a cam is used in it. Apart from that, I give it top marks!

I got one for £139 and it has been a good value way into HD tv, the cam does get too hot on warm days and cuts the cam out when it really heats up.

Several of us have fitted a fan over the cam to use on hot days, the picture quality is good when used with a HDMI connection on 1080, its sd performance through the scart is poor.

If you have a HD tv and can access 1W with a M2+ and a conax cam your in for a HD treat, the diablo wont show most of the HD content because of a symbol rate problem on the hd transponders.

That's all a fault with the Diablo CAM, not the receiver, as I have no problems using a T-Rex Super.

I have the Fortec Innovation and the Passion.
The new Innovation has the ability to record to an external HDD, and also has 2 built in Conax card readers which should work with the MII+ card, but I don't have the card to test.

Hi m8 how do you rate the innovation sounds quite handy with the link to external drive

I 've only used the Innovation for a few days, but it's really very much the same as the Passion with the extras as mentioned before.

In my opinion the HD picture is better than the Passion. The contrast seems better.

I have had the occasional lock up when scanning a satellite, but all receivers seem to have bugs of some kind.

If it's like the Passion, then the remote batteries don't last very long, as it uses the same remote as the Passion.

I am happy with it, and really just bought it until something better comes out, such as Azbox HD or DM8000 which will cost a lot more money.
