Try this go to Control Panel -> Network Internet Conns -> Click on Network Conn -> Click on Lan/Internet Icon -> Click on the Support Tab ->
Then Details -> all the info that you require is in there, you can then input the required in to your receiver.

Ive tryed yet again with the "new?" 17/8 and still no joy for me,Graham m8,could you please tell what you have in your destination ip settings and destination dns settings as all i have is a load of question marks,then just below,SERVER MODE START,i get Network established,then under that all my ip,gateway subnet mask dns ect is all there,its just those two parts that are wrong for me

I get the same as you all ???????????. So it not that have you try changeing from DHCP to IP or the other way around and see if that works for you.

Try This: go to Menu -> System Information -> Press Red, Green, zero - Now My settings are as follows:

IP Mode - DHCP
Client Mode - IP_Mode
Static IP Setting - Local IP - In here you should have input your IP Addy, Gateway, Subnet Mask, Domain Server.
Go to Ethernet Module Upgrade and Press OK - in the receiver display panel you should see the numbers go from 1 to 100 - then SUCC.

See how you get on from there.

Had mine running in June. Have software EU 6.2.5 AL7 Helper
installed. Just brought down from loft to try. Have followed
some of the instructions, when I use 3 buttons & ethernet
update it says connected. After I exit Network is ok but
back to disconnected when I recheck. Errors vary from 90 to
123 at present.

I'm in the UK, & originally ME software installed does it matter
with the Inno if you use ME or EU. Am using on Hotbird at
present so no idea what is still opening. Seems box is being
used on Nilesat which I can't receive.

put new software in, dont touch comms button as new software is set to comms on. there should be no need to do anything. everything working well. hope that helps.

Still not working here,even with 22/8,got all the info in the CS menu(thanx ALDO) but still always get network established but not conected message then it changes to network established !.tryed DCHP but it doesnt even establish the network when using that although i did notice that when using DCHP both of the green led,s light up where as only 1 does when using static_ip,dunno if thats any relevance??.Just strange that others have it working and sum dont.

I've found the Innovative works better with DHCP. You need to
have the Router set to DHCP so that it can assign an address.

One problem I have come across is the Inno will take the same
address as PC, so I put in a fixed address for that. Alternative is
switch on Router, then Inno followed by PC. My Inno used to go
for lowest address ie 02 if Router 01.

As catoro has already said yes, that is exactly what mine says, and that and all the other details that are required for the receiver should be entered into the Inno I hope that this is of some help to you.

Belkin Router thats works ok with Inno but have read that
some Routers don't work well with STB.

It was a Belkin Router that i purchased today,but i was using a Netgear before,even tryed another Netgear the same and niether worked although they had done with no problems up untill recently.

The Inno has always been a problem with Net connection
until recently, probably better software. Or I got used to
it. Had less probs with MK2 though virtually the same STB.

It's not in use at present as swapped over STBs.

i 2 have put the latest software into reciver middleast 01092008 but the dhcp will not connect, if i change to ip the it gets the ip address etc ok, when i change back to dhcp and exit, all ip address etc return to 255.255.255 etc. i have tryed a belkin router, no go, i have hard reset 2 x netgear modems and still the same result.there are 3 other devices useing system and they all work 100%. i have also changed to older software and the latest euro software for reciver and still no change. i have also hard reset reciver firmware and still no go. but all was fine before the new software a few days ago. and no i am not blamming software but i would like to get back on line if someone can help. cheers.

Have reconnected my Inno eme, have just put on S-View to check
chan is clearing net connected. Will give you my settings to see
if it will help:

Software ver Innovative pv 10.00 EU

H/W ver v6.10 by A1 7Helper

PC address -----.2.2

IP address------.002.003 Inno

Subnet-----255.255.255.000

Domain Server .002.001

Router--------2.1

Don't know why the Inno & Protek add the extra two 00.

My PCs at present are set to DHCP same as Router. Watch out that
Inno doesn't take the same address as PC. Ie., PC ---2.2 Inno 002.
002. Last No should be different. The Netgear default was ---.0.1
but find the Belkin uses 2.1

Best of luck, hope the above may help, also if I have a problem I
turn off STB at mains, then repower up.

@ catoro, my pc ends in 0.4, my ip for router is 0.4. when i input the settings to inno, i put, destination ip, 000.001, and dns of 000.1. the do ethernet update. and i get 255 in all rows with noconnection. if however i put the dhcp to ip then the network line get is, 000.001 ip addy, 000.001 gateway. submask 255.000 and dns 000.001.

i have checked pc and that is on dhcp. checked router and that is on dhcp.
but every time i enter dhcp and input ip addy then reboot moden all i get is 255.255.255.255 on every line.

not a bloody clue whats going on. on the settings are staic ip, ip mode and local ip. could you please give me a wall to bang my bloody head on. cheers.

After you installed your settings you should then go down to Ethernet Module upgrade and the Press OK, on your display you should see numbers go from 1 - 100 and the Succ, then you should have an internet connection.

@ eme am a bit lost on your settings though there does appear
to be some corruption occurring. I still get mixed up with the terminology though have 5 PCs 3 STBs running on a Network !

For PC etc., Default Gateway, DNS Server & Router are the same.

Usual is192.168.0.1

I find it odd that PC is 0.4 unless manually set.
The usual is PC will select lowest No 192.168.0.2 if switched on
first. The Inno would then select 192.168.003 for IP address-
(DHCP)

The IP address can't run on same address as Router. If the
Subnet Mask won't auto go to----255.000 then you may have to
look at Software. Originally patched mine.

Try Aldo's sound advice & if still have problems confirm that
Routers last digits are .0.1

When you get that message it means that the server is down, and there is nothing that you can do about it, except wait until the server is working again.

When you have 255.255.255.255 - you have no internet connection, try pressing Red, Green Zero - go to Ethernet update - Press OK - you should see in the display 1 - 100 then SUCC. If that fails try unplugging your Modem, and Router, plug them back in and if you still have 255.255.255.255 - do red, green zero again, then see what you have.

after trying that,dhcp still will not connect. alights are on on modem abit the two together one flashes more than other, changed my moden and put it other inno, that connected stright away, so the fualt is not the modembut me thinks software. input computer ip and all lights flashing on modem and router network ok but disconnected. anyone with a hammer please.:o15:

I have the same problem with my inno.
Tried new and old updates but still not having it.

I am looking for an ethernet patch or repair that will work with the loading tool. As when I try using the old one I get a 'header file' error.

The only thing I note that I can't do is use Red Green 0 and then do the ethernet update hense my needing the ethernet repair. Otherwise I also will be needing a hammer....

Any thoughts....

Oh by the way when I was connected before it was on DHCP but the only was I can get to see anything other than 255s is to use Static IP but even with this I get no connection..

From the PM I sent you thought I would all so post it here.

Its my favs channels for Hotbird and Astra. The last SW for the inno was the 17/9/08 and that was the last one. For Nova the server is down for the last 4 days and a lot of talking saying that it will not be back. But this is all talk by other members on diffrent forums. Could be back and could not no information from the ones that runs the server. Hope this answers your question for you.
