View Full Version : Globalteq/Darkbox

Hi there I`ve got a Globalteq STH700HD CI which I`ve found out can be updated with Darkbox software and I was wondering if anyone could let me know how to update the softcam or keys on the darkbox as everything I`ve tried doesn`t seem to work.

Are you saying Globalteq STH700HD CI will run Darkbox image? Or just softcam?

put keys on a usb stick and then update softcam keys ,

Hi Device I`m running Darkbox software on my Globalteq works well, at present running STM 700HDCI_combo_140808_1031_api , apparentley it will also run Metabox software as well. I can`t remember where I got 140808 from but there is an earlier version on Satpimps Darkbox board just copy to usb stick and install but you will have to scan satellites afterwards.

Hi Madsod sussed it now the problem I was having the softcam files I had were general softcam keys that the Globalteq wouldn`t accept as there wasn`t a upto date Darkbox file about when I was testing it, I tend to download general normally KM files and convert them depending on which receiver I want to put them on, or just send them to my dreambox.

Re Metabox, please be careful I know of one case where a Metabox user tried the Darkbox software and killed his Metabox.
I don't know if the reverse is true but certainly would not risk doing it just in case.

No one in this section is Intersting about metaware or Globalteq in this section ...here is darkbox section ...

tell the owners of Globalteq or Metabox dont stay after Darkbox name.

they can use their name to sell their boxex..

isn't the darkbox a clone of the globalteq ? and thats why the software can be used ?

To be honest I would not attempt to flash any but the Darkbox software into a Darkbox receiver. It is a recipe for disaster. I have seen posts elsewhere that have suggested this but beware I've seen wrecked receivers as well.
Please do not attempt this unless you are happy to throw away your hard earned money.
