I have NaibloBlackHole installed in my 800 can I record to my PC hd or ext hd connected to PC from this Image

Yes, in Nabilo Black Hole press Blue button twice and there is an option for the Nabilo Mount ****** and in here you can set up your share to a PC drive with a cifs share.
You have to make sure that you have set up a shared folder first on your PC.

I did everything and still had a problem connecting. I got an error that I did not have permission to mount the drive. I edited the /etc/fstab file and deleted the passwords and then reentered them and this cleared the problem.

You can also set up a nfs share to use the hard drive on another dreambox or Linux PC from the same Nabilo Mount ******.

I understand that you can use an external hard drive too but I have not done that

Is it in swap files settings in Nabilo Black Hole how do I set it up in my PC or ext hdd, (not very good at this sort of thing)

I did a guide for the TM9100 but I should imagine its exactlly the same for the dm800

You can still share a folder on your pc and it will probably work, if it doesn't work using your pc name use Administrator instead
