I am madanglian, use the same name on a number of forums so if you recognise the name, say hi.
Have been a member of Digital Spy for a few years now but they seem to focus more on Freeview and Freesat these days.
I have a Skystar 2 (2.3 - currently boiling a kettle on it :D ) using ProgDVB 4.85 and SSDiSEqC 1.10 on my P4 2.6 GHz PC using ruddy great 22" CRT monitor.
I have a motorised no-name 0.85 m dish which is fine for all the "main" satellites. The Skystar can lock on most things above 47dBW but I find with a decent Symbol Rate (ie above 12000) I can go even lower.
I also have a Pace DS-810XE which is good for BBC HD but that's about all...
