800 freezing on HD channels

My 800 freezes on HD channels (28e) FTA are ok I am using cccam 2.09

Freezing caused by overheating install a fan and that will stop the freeze

no , i will not addvise you to mood the dreambox with a fan
i will mostly addvise you to take it back to you,r dealer and change the box

some dreambox 800 have this problem they freeze on HD channels
well here in scandinavia has been made a pool on many diferent Scandinavian
forms and seem like 50/50% some are ok and some are freezing a loot

you beters change you,rs if you live near you,r dealer
and dealer will havce to send this back to repair in germany

Don't think I'll fit a fan on a new box and yes I no longer have the original image in flash (gemini 3.7) so maybe I'll reflash box with original only thing is I'm no good at this telnet thing for installing Barrey Allen on original image.FTA HD is fine on NDS which is the best cam to use for NDS with Nabiloblackhole. Maybe I should also say I don't have a card :).

You could always go down the usb laptop cooler route

The USB cooler is a very good option.

It's easy to setup, you just plug it into the DM800's USB socket for power.

All external so easy for everyone.

My FTA HD channels are all working fine could it still be a problem with the box ? only encrypted NDS HD channels freeze (have not tried Conax or other encrypted HD yet)

If FTA HD channels are fine then your receiver is ok.

I got my 800 last week and get lockups every 10 minutes or so on HD, last night I add a 60mm fan and it "appears" to have cured it, more testing tonight.

I think its pretty bad that DM can release this box with issues like this.

I've had a DM500 and 7020 before this box, so I have used them before.

I was going to add an internal drive but this will only make matter worse, I would think.

I think Dman is receiving the channels via CS. Its well do***ented that freezing is normal with sharing especially with NDS. Its not the receiver in your case.

I had this problem of freezing on hd channels got myself a laptop cooler, pluged it into the usb port and no more freezing. The db800 is also cool to the touch where as before it was hot, and also consider i am running my db800 in my house in Spain where inside temp never drops below 30 deg c unless i put the aircon on

yes but only bbc/hd Eurosport full hd was quite bad, but now with laptop cooler no problem yet
