HBS Innovative Receiver 6.30

Reason:
I update my receiver with the Firmware but still showing version 7/5/08, and all the field for the IP, subnet mask, etc. showing 255.255.255.255.

What did go wrong? Please help!!

This is the info that he may be referring to:

from an inner circle source ,inside the company ,I assure everybody that the server ,and therefore the service is back latest on Sunday night , and this promise You can take to the bank!

However we will just have to wait and see if there is any truth in this statement, and more importantly, how long will remain open and also will it be stable.

There are 2 ways to update your hbs box;

BUT none of them will work! :o10:


1) By pressing 8943 and then 9906 from your remote control you shall start donwloding the latest software

but server is down so you cant get connected to start the download process :beatdeadhorse5:

and

2) via a Serial RS232 Extension Cable

you donwload the loader and the latest software from this website to your pc and via the cable you update the hbs box, much much faster and easier way

but server is down so even if you have the latest software you will clear nothing :beatdeadhorse5:

so if i were you i wouldn't try anything unless you hear in the forums that the server is back or-else you will be wasting your time!!!

you mentioned, here on comment 10, that maybe yesterday evening the server problems would have been sorted, any news on that??

The latest news from that forum is enclosed below:

the server was ready to go yesterday ,but things are pretty tough in DUBAI ,,QUMAX for eg had to move thier server of their SENATOR model to Korea to avoid the escolating government pressure on paid tv piracy, for these reasons HBS had to prospond transmition for a while ,but I ssure You once more that its coming back ,there are NO technIcal problems at all ,its just some legal crab and contineous gov pressures and harrasments ..you have to remember that the whole issue is still illegal piracy ,you also have to remember that its in the interest of the company to keep the server going otherwise our box won't sell anymore and won't be worth a dime
regards to everyone ,and I hope you're smart enough to stop questioning my true identity and the nature of my sources.

my question was just a question, I didn't mean to upset you (confused with your last sentence, maybe your comment was not ment for me) and I am definitely not questioning your sources!!

The reason why I asked you, is cause you seem to "know things" that other people dont know and your post was definitely good news!!
