** Make a full back up copy of your memory card - or use a new memory card. **

Here's the v8.011 files for dedicated Tomtom units, unzip & then you'll have a folder named - Copy CONTENTS To Memory Card open folder & copy everything to your memory card. The latest v701 UK postcode files are also included in this download.

You will also need to add a map - they are posted in this section.

The latest map releases are included in the Me ta file in this download.
(Connect Tomtom to PC & use the 'RunMeforAllAutomatic' patcher). Guide included in the download.

Thanks Russ, You make it sound so simple is it that simple to install this software and map on a tomtom go700?

You have also stated that you need a map.

Where can we get hold of this map or is it included in this download?

I think the main differences are the TTS & Lane guidance on the v8 software & maps. Think it will work OK for you - but make a back up copy first.

It appears that the V8 maps will not go on the tomtom one new edition when loaded it says map not suitable.

I've only got a Go500, so cant test it on any other unit - hopefully someone else with similar unit can let us know how they get on with this.

Hi, I have downloaded the v8 software and keygen but need the western and central europe map for for v8, i am installing on a GO700.
