My technomate 5500CIP decided to empty itself of all information this morning. (it has done that once before) So I had to re-enter all the satellite positions and frequencies. Poblem is that 30w is about 1 inch from my bungalow roof, so I have to be carefull not to knock the dish against the woodwork. This morning I was not carefull enough!!
The dish is touching the plastic cladding and I am getting "Actuator error" and it wont move either way. I have tried setting E/W limits but I get the same message.
I presume the motor is under pressure so that is why I get the error signal.
I am disabled and would find it difficult to get to the dish. Short of taking my cladding off is there anything I can do to get the motor moving away from the obstruction.?:respect-058:

Further to my query I have noticed that the dish is bolted to the upright support by just two "U" bolts. I may try loosening these and just twisting the whole setup an inch or so away from the wall. Then move the dish and return the U bolts to their original position.
I will have to wait till my mate comes round though.
