Are you using Dreamup and a null modem cable ?

dcc via network

I doubt you have killed the box but the safest way to flash a 500 is via a null modem cable and using dreamup.
If you don't have a null modem cable get one and don't mess with the box until you do as you may cause more problems.
;)

Here is a link to the latest version of dreamup

thanks, the green light is always on also as opposed to red when on standby, the tricky part os gonna be connecting via a null modem cable. My new pc doesnt have a serial port DOH!

You can gut usb>serial cables for a couple of quid

You should never upload images of the network coz of packet loss and possible corruption.

Yes you can convert the cable, I am sure there is a post on the board about this.
Maybe in Humax section

yes m8
when my original psu burnt out i had a little google for the problem and found out it is quite a common one ..
something to do with the power needed to drive a motor and the 1amp supply not being up to the job.
been using this one for about 4 months with no probs:respect-048:
