according to LJ's, ZDF (a FTA German Channel on 19e and 13e) are only showing the 2nd half of this game (never heard of that before)

does anyone know of any other FTA channels or open packages (with dragon or patched TM1500) that will show this game - maybe one that's just showing the 1st half??

(Setanta and Digitalb Supersport 3 are also showing this game.)

the reason why zdf only is showing the second half , is that the germany game they are showing ends right then .
there are no other fta or hacked channels covering cro - eng , maybe alpha tv which is in biss - but i'm not sure if the key is available , never tried that satellite .

well , i'm covered as i have a card - but it's worth researching that alpha tv for others as it's encrypted in biss , that encryption has keys available for most channels .

After another amazing tennis gran slam + olympics watching the england football team does nothing but make you laugh now. Untill they scap the under-21/19 ( so these yojngters can play in first team) and play good players instead of prema-donas then we be a jokas hadus team of clowns. Cant England play some foreign players now ? :D

oh , the satellite in question for alpha tv is eurobird2 at 25.5E .

Looking at Lyngsat, this channel does not appear on 25.5 East. The frequency, according to LJ is, 10985 V 04286 - 7/8 on 25.5 E, but on Lyngsat, the lowest freq on this Satellite is 11001?
Or am I missing something??

I tried to scan for the same channel and no luck,as you say the frequencies given do not correspond to the ones on l*ngs*t.I have a 1.5metre dish and cant find this satellite.Anyone els have any ideas?

Yes on Digitalb,i use official card(dont know about dodgy dealings):)but i cant stand the picture quality,wont be renewing my sub,thats why i'm looking for alternate channels.

Setanta are paying £5million for each away game involving England.Setanta have stated that terrestrial broadcasters bids for the FTA rights comes nowhere near there valuation of £1million.

"We hate Setanta" and "No surrender to the I.R.A." were chanted by England fans last saturday and could be clearly heard until Setanta turned the effects microphones down.

Setantas hard marketing drive and there demand of £1million for FTA rights have left the terrestrial broadcasters marginalised.

And the crowning terd in the waterpipe, is that the Football Association are powerless to intervene as they hold no jurisdiction over rights to England away matches.

England fans will get to see free-to-air highlights of England's World Cup qualifying match with Croatia tonight, after rights holder Setanta decided to broadcast the action unecrypted after its live coverage.

Setanta's move to show free-to-air highlights of the match comes after a stand-off with terrestrial broadcasters over a rights deal that has lasted several days, since before England's opening World Cup qualifier against Andorra on Saturday.

The Irish pay-TV company failed to reach a deal despite ITV doubling its highlights offer to £500,000 in 11th hour negotiations today.

Offers from the BBC and Channel 4 thought to be around £250,000 had already been rejected by Setanta, which was looking for closer to £1m.

It is understood that Setanta has secured deals to air an unencrypted highlights show tonight across Freeview's digital terrestrial TV service, Virgin Media's cable network and BSkyB's digital satellite offering, that will run from 10.45pm to 12.30pm.

Setanta will air highlights of Scotland's World Cup qualifier first, followed by England's match.
