Vantage 8000s or Ipbox 9000HD

Hi
I have narrowed down my choice of HD receiver to either the Vantage or the IPbox & wondered if any member has any experience of these receivers.
What are the main differences & is there any 3rd party software available, does for instance a diablo cam work with these?
From briefly checking the specs & Dr Dish reveiws I favour the Ipbox but would welcome your opinions

Diablo 2.2 and 2.3work OK in my IP9000HD+ but they do run hot, there are occasional dropouts from 2.3, there are images to load but not that many, I am sure it will get better. A well made box for the future and hopefully CCam will work with future images...........Regards N.

just got the vantage 8000s, "its a cracking STB" if the box is as well engineered as the car[Vantage also] which it looks to be. you,ve just got to give German engineering and Technical knowhow a thumbs up.{even if it aint made there} Gone are the day,s with MADE IN BRITAIN. as regards the use of cams D****o light for instance, unfortunatly as yet i can,t comment as some PROVIDERS are changing encryption etc. all in all I,ve got value for money.

by the way the Vantage 8000HD its not german engineered at all ,is made in Korea by another no known name company then Vantage put their sticker on and sell it with exclusivity for a couple of years then you will find it all over with different names ,nothing is made in europe any longer ..just few bits and bobs ..but the major stuff is coming from the far-east...regards

I've had a Vantage HD-7100S, which looks the same as a HD-8000S.

It uses the same firmware aswell.

HD picture quality is good via HDMI, but the SD picture quality via HDMI is not fantastic. You can clearly see this mosaic pattern in the picture.

Now I use a Cube Revo HD, which is the same as a ***** IP Box 9000 HD.

Picture quality of this box is superb, much better than the Vantage that I used before.

Especially on the SD pictures via HDMI the picture is much better!
