I think finding feeds for football may become more of a neccessity in future so I am trying to find out which HD recievers do a blind search. I know the Technomate 6900HD doesnt which is a disappointment, but blind search is not mentioned in the deatails of many HD recievers I have looked at.
Does anyone have any info please??

The only HD receiver that does blindscan is the Vantage8000. As for the actual performance of itīs blindscan...well thatīs hard to say, I honestly have not seen any really detailed comments or tests yet.

Yes, I have just spotted the Vantage 7100 which is a bit cheaper, just looking for reviews.

No, the 7100 has a software blindscan, the 8000 has a hardware blindscan. Itīs the 8000s that might be interesting.

I read a review (somewhere) that said the vantage blind scan picked up 700 channels compared to the Technomate 6900 900.
I am confused?????????

I think you'll find the 'auto navigation' procedure does the blind search.

Technomate 6900S does not have blind search. There was an apology on the Technomate website for the mistake in the manual.

He's referring to the newly released TM6900 Super, which does have blind search and RF mod, 2 USB's, LAN, eSATA, etc.

This is the receiver that Technomate told me:Yes, "it's in the works though no dates have been confirmed yet." and " Sorry, we have not been given any further info. " on the 2nd September!
