BBC HD / Humax Problem

I have a problem on BBC HD. My STB (a Humax HDCI-2000) is set to output 4:3 material in 16:9 pillarbox and it does this fine on every 4:3 programme, but it also does it for BBC HD, yet ITV HD and Channel 4 HD are unaffected. Is this a fault with BBC HD sending or not sending some sort of AFD with their transmission or is it a software bug with the STB. Anyone else check their STB and see if the problem happens for them too?

So are you using a Scart lead to connect to your TV or a HDMI lead?

HDMI.

Any 4:3 programmes are shown with the pillarboxes, 16:9 programmes are shown full screen. ITV HD and Channel 4 HD are fine, they are shown full screen. Only BBC HD shows everything pillarboxed as if it is 4:3.
