no sorry will not work i have yet to find one you can , as you can not set the h/d to a av input .

I have used my standard Sly card in my 6900 super card reader, and it open my subscribed channels...therefore you can record to your 6900 harddrive by using your 6900 as your sly receiver.
A few days ago I recorded 10 mins of the "King of Queens" and it played back ok...I know it is not going through the 6900 but if you have a Sly card you can use it.

And has anyone cracked yet how to write from HD to DVD (HD) recorder?
Sly HD is fine from its own HD box to separate DVD rec - but havent yet cracked writing from external HD from 6900HD Combo!:confused:

Can you not just take the portable hd to your pc then drag and drop the files to your desktop and use a program like avi convertor to convert the files to iso format and burn them back to dvd on your pc. Ps I bet you can connect a pc to the new 6900's via the ethernet port and transfer files back that way.

Not after the last patch madsod,i believe it will now update in the 6900 as long as you are on 28east for the monthly/bi monthly activation;).I make sure i leave my dish on 28east when i go to bed just incase the buggers send out a signal:smilielol5:
