I agree with madsod on all his comments.
Trouble with the moteck is the downward facing dish fixing stub. Very dodgy, when up a ladder, trying to life a large dish up to the stub and tighten the fdish fixing screws and hold onto the ladder with just a pair of hands.
Advantage with the Stab120, wiith it's upward facing stub, is that you just drop the dish onto the stub. A lot easier then for setting up. That is my opinion anyhow.

agreed

I use a split metal collar on mine so that nothing can slip down or off , same on the pole , so if anything is slackened the parts wont move up or down but only side to side

Are these motors strong enough to drive those heavy Channel Master 1.2 fibreglass dishes. I also have one of these dishes on a polar mount driven by an actuator which is now getting old and would consider getting one as I think they are much more accurate for satellite locking.

you can get ring to go over the motor so the chanel mater dish will work on the stab motor , my mate done it and yes it works , sat shop in bristol for the rings , but i will say i think 36 volt on that dish is still the best , i have my 1.2 gibb dish on mine

stay on polar mount with jack arm dish to heavy for hh120 gears wont take it under heavy wind use a v-box to control it thats my set up not been to dish face in years other than to clean.pilsner

yes don't use a diseqc motor on a channel master dish as that will wear it out in no time

if you want a better motor then i would advise the jaeger 1224 motor , still 36volt motor but the best there is for the channel master dish

vbox connected to your receiver and it will work fine and also be stronger in windy weather

i have changed from a diseqc motor to the channel master dish and 1224 motor and wont go back to diseqc as they are not designed to fit dishes correctly
