Having returned my TM6900 HD Super I have just plugged my trusty 5500CIP back in. Problem is I had a new satellite dish put up especially for the new box. It has a diseq motor. The old dish had an actuator which had a separate 4 wire cable to move the dish. The new dish worked the 6900HD from one cable with no motor wire.
I assumed my old box would work wih just this one cable but it wont. It will not let me set east/west limits or move the dish at all.So I am stuck on 19e.
Any ideas please??

the 5500cip should work ok with diseqc motor make sure everything is setup properly in the menu usals requires long and lat setup if no usals then use diseq 1.2 the 5500cip should have this if not 1.3 usals

Hi,

5500CIP has DISEQ but you have to enable it. If you are setup for an actuator then its likely that DISEQ is disabled. I dont have my 5500CIP here so I cant give you the menus to follow.

Nice thing with 5500CIP is that you can actually use both the actuator and DISEQ options at the same time to drive 2 motors for inclined orbit.

Maybe someone has a 5500CIP in front of them and can tell you the menus to follow.

Cheers.

Wow, thanks for the replys so quickly. I am understandably nervous in playing with the motor as the reason I got a new dish was because I ran the old one into the wall and broke it:angelsad2:
I am sure it has diseq 1.2 so I will try again perhaps someone can add to this post to help me.:respect-055:
