In Denmark we pay around 150€ every 6 months for a so called "media-license"

But that has got nothing to do with Telenor which owns the Thor satellite... I guess that they will kick back some of the subscription charge to BBC

So how much do you Brits pay in TV license?

£140 a year

I'm pretty sure that it's going to be called 'BBC Entertainment'.

The BBC are phasing out BBC Prime. Maybe they'll have both for a while, Entertainment in HD & Prime in SD until it finally finishes.

Edit:-

You were right about the BBC HD channel coming. I just saw Rabbi's post in the news section.

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=93520

That's good news for me as I have a Canal Digital HD box.

I 've just had a thought, I wonder when MTV HD will be coming to Thor.

No date yet on the web page, it just says 'coming soon'.

Does anybody know anything yet?

Pity they cramp in 5 HD-channels on one transponder.. 12188MHZ and 12399MHZ would had been better choice.

I think the average pay in Denmark is around 15£ an hour.

But in return our cars are approximately 3 times more expensive than yours ;)
