HDMI and DVI are digital connectors, I don't think you can access any of the data channels directly...

I guess if your TV only has a DVI connector, it is probably too old to support audio via DVI. Have you tried with a DVI cable?

I also guess that if your TV has a DVI connection, it should also have RCA audio inputs, in which case you could hook up the audio that way?

Only other alterative would be to use an AV receiver, or change the TV...:)

Hi mate
yes the tv dose have rca inputs and this will give me audio via an scart adepter in the dm800 but you cannot use dvi and scart at the same time
(don't know why) maybe I should get a home cinema system and use spdif

Thanks for your help mrbleu500

:biggrinjester:Maybe it depends on the quality of the HDMI lead but I'm not willing to pay the silly prices some are asking in order to find out!

I don't know if I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick but it's never been possible to get audio via DVI as far as I know.
