Echolink EL777 Boot Problem uP9

I have a reflashed a new EL777 using the serial boot loader. All appeared to complete correctly except when I powered off the receiver and powered it back on all I get is uP9 on the front panel.

Is it possible to recover from this error ? or am I now the possesor of an electronic doorstop.

Any suggestions or help?

I eventually I found a reference to "EL_Repair_On_Fault" software that is able to rewrite the bootstrap. Once the bootstrap was fixed I could correctly load the "B Variant" of the code. All now works. (I hadn't realised that there was a B and C variants).
