Receiving Thor on a 1m motorised dish.

I live on the Kent/London borders and was wondering if I would receive all of Thor on a 1m motorised dish? Looking for Canal Digital and Digi TV.

You will get all of Digi TV and most of Canal Digital, but you might struggle with the channels using the Nordic, Central & Eastern Europe beam, especially in poor weather.

I have just noticed that a few of the channels are being dual broadcast, on another frequency, which is a lot easier to pick up in the UK.

These include Eurosport 2, TV4 Sci Fi, TV4 Gold and TV4 Comedy.

For anyone who has problems with 12476 H 27800 try scanning in 11341 V 24500.

Just to let you know guys i'am in my tournig caravan at Haggerston castle near Berwick and managed to get a signal on canal digital nordic 1 west
on a zone 1 sky dish 45 cm & technomate 1500 CI Super 76 percent not tried galaxy sport as i was after c+ sport for the toon game.
I was well surprised in the sucess i had. :bravo-009:

Hi Bazza1974,

Can"t say you will pickup the Nordic beem, but you will pickup
over 400 channels with your 1m dish.
On (Digitv, 1w) and (Telenor, Thor, 0.8w) you will open
with a (Diablo Cam 2.3) 11 HD Channels (If you have an HD STB) and
over 60 Film Channels, over 60 Sport Channels. More that enough
for your needs.
The Hd and other Telenor Signal quality you will pull in with
the 1m dish will be (100% Sig Quality).
The Sig Quality on Digitv (1w) will be around 75%.

Many thanks dude!! My dish is settled in nicely now. Managed to get the nordic beam (Sig quality is 50-60% but goes in bad weather). Digi TV is as you said at about 75% and the rest of Canal Digital booms at 88%. The strongest TP which is 11.785 comes in at 97%. Was a nice surprise..

Good Job done Bazza, pleased you can pull in the Nordic beem.

Im just on the edge up North (55n...1.4w).
Thinking of a 0.1 LNB to push my HDCI2000 Sig Quality up
from (14%) to the (17%) needed to stop the Black Screen, its
the same with (16e Digitalb), just on the edge with (16%).
Its a 0.3 inverto lnb I have, pity my 0.3 Invercom packed Up,
that was the best LNB ever.
I remember when (TV1000) was at (5e Sirius), 10pm till 2am
equaled Black screen. The Sig just faded away
from (And this was a strong Sig) 20% to 13%.
Insalled a (0.3 Invercom) never lost TV1000 after that, even
kept the Sig in a snow storm at midnignt.
