I've got two freesat cards that missed monthly updates. I tried to leave them in 6900 Super card slot over night but they would not update for Channel5. Which channel should I leave Rx on to update?

Somebody mentioned, a few days ago, that new F/W for 6900 Super would update the card!

That was me fella!!!.Yes i heard from Magic who does the patches that all cards update in the 6900HD,although i dont know about the super model mines the 6900 HD not the super.I have a freesat card in mine and it has worked since end of August.I use sly3 or channel4 HD to update mine.Sometimes overnight doesn't work.Try one the channels i mentioned and leave the receiver switched on overnight on 28east and check it about dinner time the following day.I hope the latest patch for the super version does do the update or you will need a sly box.Try reading through the info on the patch dated 10th october(i think).I know my none super model deffo updates good luck pal.

I left it twice overnight on Channel 5, but it did not update. I will try tonight either Sky3 or CH4HD as you suggested.

kiza hope you don't mind me saying but is the chip facing up when in the tm6900. just a thought.

No, the chip is facing down. If I turn it the other way around, the message " Invalid Card " comes up!

I put a spare card, that was not opening five, in my Digibox overnight and it was alive this morning. The box was on five.

No it did not update even on Sky3. I will try it in a Sky box. It is either a duff card or 6900 Super will not update it

Sorry to hear that mate,if it doesn't update in the sly box(use sky3)then it is more than likely duff!!

i had the same problem, i had to put it in the sky box it came with channel 5 all working now for me, my box is the 6900 not super
