MAximum time shift

Am i right in saying the maximum time shift (Pause live tv) is 30 mins? Does this mean if i pause say 5 or 10 mins into an hour long programme i wont be able to ressume or only get 30 mins of pause??
If so can this be increased?

Wouldnt have thought my country, dish size etc would effect recording via timeshift? Perhaps im wrong.

Spot on. I supposse i should really try it for longer than 30mins? Just its says in instructions that 30mins is the default, Not maximum.
