Hi could anyone tell me if the files for v8.0 listed on here will work ok on tomtom 920.
If so can these and any other files needed to make it work be put on a SD card ?

Hi, Yes, I copied the V8.011 files from here to a 4 gig SD card, added maps from tomtom 920,works perfectly and updates all but the 8.011 prog

any chance you could post a simple how to..of how you did it for me please
i just get ..you are not allowed to use this map..red screen..
every time i try it

Did you start of with a blank memory card ?
How far do you get - any error messages - or what happens & what did you do just before it happened ?

Can you leave all the files etc on the tomtom unit and use 8.011 files and new version map running on a sd card ? Have downloaded above to sd card but does not load map. Thanks for any help you can give.

Better really with a blank memory card - copy the software, map folder & postcode folder to memory card - make sure you do not have any folders inside another folder, then use the easyusetool to activate your map.

Russell thanks for answer still cant get it to work.

Cleared sd card to start again load it with TT V8011 and map of Western Europe V810.1907.

Run keygen seemed to be ok but map still does not show up any ideas were I am going wrong.

Any help most welcome.

Is your map folder named " Western_Europe " & make sure you do not have one folder inside another folder ? And have you used the v8.011 software I posted on the forum ?

Are you getting any error messages & what do you get on your Tomtom ?

Russell Thanks for all you help not just for my problam,but all the help you give on this site.
My problam was I opened map file and transfered it to memory card instead of transfering the map file compleat.
Working a treat now.
