I know there is lots of talk about the dish size needed for reception of Nilesat but what about this satellite.

What size dish is needed to get Eurobird 2 at 25.5 East in England ?

I can get lots of channels from the Badr satellites at 26 East but have never seen anything from 25.5 East.

A typical frequency is 11585 V 27500.

Can anybody in England get arabic channels on this frequency and what size dish have you got and where in England are you ?

By the looks of the footprint on Lyngsat you would need at least a 2.4 metre dish but I'm not sure.

Thanks.

I getting same as you on a 1.8m Fortec star dish i get good few channls but none from Orbit package @ 25.5e unfortunatly so i reckon 2.4m dish at least i'm not sure even if beam is possible though even with 2.4m :07::svengo:

you will need at least 3.00m dish to hope for a signal ,i would think a good 2.40 could get something ,but being in the UK with the great wet weather i still will stick with 3.00m ...regards
