This is another satellite you would need a big dish for.

There are two footprints, one of which is impossible to get in the UK.

The other one might be receivable with at least a 1.8 metre dish.

An example of those frequencies are :

11490 V 5788

11512 V 3617

Is anybody getting anything from this satellite ?

Where are you and what size dish have you got ?

Thanks.

I'm in west yorkshire with a 1.2m dish and have managed to get some occasional reception from this sat. Managed to pull in NTK on 11490V SR 5788 FEC 3/4 and the radio package on 11049V SR 3299 SR 3/4. Signal comes and goes though, not reliable reception.

Very interesting.

Have you tried any other frequencies other than the ones you mention ?

I would have thought a larger dish would have been needed but if you can get it occasionally with a 1.2 then maybe it is possible.

Is there a best time of day for this or is it hit and miss so to speak ?

Have you tried any other satellites even further east than this one ?

Anyone else ?

Thanks for the reply.

Not noticed any specific time of day which is better for this sat, just seems to depend on the weather mostly! Tried other frequencies but no luck so far, was going to have a look now but just started raining so not much point! I can receive 2 other sats further east, Intelsat 902 at 62E comes in strong as does Intelsat 10 (Ex PAS 10) at 68.5E, although signal comes and goes from 68.5 east as it's pretty much on the horizon from here!
