Has anyone managed to mount an external usb harddrine on a dm-800..
If so How..
I read a couple of threads that mentioned you had to alter some code ..
Could anyone dumb it down as i'm not used to working with linux code??

I have herd it has been done with gemani 3.8 but was harder on other images. Theres no simple way to dumb down the procedure, if you want an easy way why not install an internal or external sata drive.
ps tried it myself and gave up pretty quickly and opted for an internal sata, as it seemed to mess with my usb stick running barry allen.

I would agree with kegnkiwi and also gave up on an external usb hard drive I installed an external esata hard drive in the esata port in the DM 800.

Not worth trying USB then it seems...
@dman - did you get a sata enclosure and then put 2.5" orr 3.5' inside ? Guess it must be powered separately ?
Its a housing with built-in hard disc Sata II brand name 3.5'' format 7200 r.p.m./ 16 MB Cache with an eSATA interface for the eSata port in the DM 800 and yes its powered seperately.Hope this helps webvan :respect-048:

Thank you, I will look up that type of setup. I was hoping to use an old USB drive I have, but maybe not as reliable as esata ?
