how to input keys for *** on tv diamond

hi all i am trying to figure out how i input dcw keys for *** on tv channels on hotbird on tm 5400.

i thought i went to *** on tv channel used 8280 on remote and entered keys on a blank line and saved.

i have seen keys labled as cwo cw1 lines 16 keys each but have no idea what lines these are on tm5400.

cannot clear *** on tv channels do i need softcam files or something else.

i do not know the differance between biss/dcw and what is alredy showing in tm menu

what you are doing sounds correct but the keys should look like this
11 22 33 aa bb etc
16 pairs of 2 or 32 in a line nos 0-9 leters a-f
there are not any current open keys for these channel they come and go very quickly during week and usually a bit longer at weekends.

thanks tr8 still a bit unsure ,

if i go to *** on tv crystall 8280 on remote lines 1all the way to line 38 has keys already in place, line 39 is free,

i am not sure if i need to delete all the keys and input new keys ie on line 1.

what i have read in stickys re tm5400 any blank line will be correct??

the keys i inputed were out of date so am unsure if my procedure works ok

When you do 8280it will go to the line you last set to that channel.
Then just type over the existing line and save as you exit.
Or will start at the top, and select a new line for that channel
there are 50 lines available which means you can have 50 biss/cw channels working at any one time.
I keep a list from line one down to about 30 of which line for which channel or you will find after a while you have loads of lines full and no idea what it was used for as at the moment you cannot delete all in one go
