Hi all
have put on my receiver tonight & my dish is refusing to move!!! , just getting "No Pulse" message on screen , i am running a DC motor on my manhattan receiver , i ahve had the motor for about 8 years since when i bought my original set up , have checked the motor connections at back of receiver & all seems fine , looks like a new motor needed!!! but any ideas would be welcome , thanks in advance

Sounds like you might have a reed switch in the motor and its failed how many wires from motor,m8

think its 5 or 6 wires mate but motor is nearly 8 years old so dont know how long these motors last

yes could be reed but also look at wiring for loose connection four wires usially unless you have magnetic or mechanical polariser then 6 0r 7 wires i've sometimes removed wires and reinstalled and usially cures it after reboot with the manhattan

Could be reed switch or magnet in motor housing, also voltage or continuity fault, you really need connection drawing of motor or receiver in order to test out.

If you connect a 12volt supply to the wires going in M1 and M2 fand get someone to watch the dish if it moves its the read switch if it does not its the motor gone (A car battery does it)
