Just for info ,opened here using a FTE receiver with Abracadabra card on HotBird in Via 2.5 (TPS) ,or in Thor in Conax (Canal Digital Nordic) ,or on 25.5 East and 8° West on Orbit package in Irdeto 2. ;)

FTE Maximal is a very popular trademark of digital receivers. (Fte Max S 100/200/300/102/202/302/ etc etc etc).
Like a lot of ALI clones receivers ,they are based on ALI chipset.

Abracadabra cards are working exclusivly on all these ALI B ,ALI C ,and ALI B-DVRci clones. ;)

And then.... Nothing ;) ,you just have to insert the Abracadabra card in the cardreader. That's all (no need to program it ,or use any programer).
Just have to wait for few seconds ,and you get colours. :)

Abracadabra is a card which works in every receiver equipped with an ali chip, either EPSILON, ALI3329b, ALI3329b-DVR or ALI3329C series.

The card does not contain anything. Tha patchable firmware already contains all the emus, but it checks the presence of this card to enable the conax/i2 emus. Let's say it is just like a PC dongle key.

There are two versions of this card. One is white both sides, and is tested with both b and c versions of the chip. The other one is white one side and orange/blue on the other and is tested only with the version c of the chip.

Now for the problems! It is not easy up to now to get this card in Europe (it comes from Africa). A French site offering it, h**p://***.abracadabra-la-carte.com is selling fakes, so it should not be trusted.

As far as I know, there is only one English site offering it, h**p://***.falc*ns*t.co.uk .

The advice that comes from those who have it is to be very cautious before buying it, the work of the supporting team it is good, but the commercial capabilities are questionable, to say the least.

No, unfortunately I only grabbed the info from friends and forums. I don't have at a moment an ali chip receiver, so I use a Diablo for conax/i2, though it has a more limited light.
I think I will wait a bit, there is also the rumour of an Abracadabra CAM (I only saw a picture of it, I don't know of anyone owing it), I would like to avoid stacking up receivers!
