Hi, Can anyone tell me if I should be able to receive Nilesat on 7w, My location is just north of Hull, in the east riding. I have a TM-5600ci usb super receiver, 1mtr dish. I am able to receive all satellites from 30.0w (hispasat through to 36.0e Eutel_se w4 ) minus a couple of channels but seem unable to receive any channels from Nilesat.. Any help would be grateful...

Welcome Mike

I think you only can recieve the verticale transponders over there with 1M dish.

Hi,
I can receive Nilesat with a 1m dish near Manchester on clear nights so it should be possible in Hull. Its a stable picture and quiet watchable.
However its very weak and you will only get the stronger of the vertical transponders. The strongest is 11.862V. The best time to try is at night and clear skys help too. If its raining or cloudy -forget it.
I have a Gibertini 1 meter dish and a MTI Blueline 0.2 db LNB.
Can you get anything from Amos 2/3 - this is also very weak on a 1 metre dish. If not you should get your dish alignment checked.
regards,
Michael.
