World Tour In Sanya, China.
The 2008 Sanya Open takes place from November 11-16 in China. Sanya is one of nine new sites in 2008 on the SWATCH-FIVB World Tour calendar along with Adelaide (Australia), Guaruja (Brazil), Prague (Czech Republic), Osaka (Japan), Myslowice (Poland), Moscow (Russia), Barcelona (Spain) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). With Sanya hosting its first event, China joins France, Norway and Poland in hosting multiple SWATCH-FIVB World Tour events. The double gender Sanya stop will also be the 2008 SWATCH-FIVB World Tour season finale.

Men's Slalom 1st Leg
will visit 19 ski resorts. From Austria to Italy, 11 countries will be part of the tour. The 2007 finals will be held in Bormio, Italy.
The main champions in 2006/2007 were Aksel Lund Svindal (Norway - 1268 pts) who won the Overall World Cup ahead of Benjamin Raich (Austria - 1255 pts) and Didier Cuche (Switzerland - 1098 pts).

The Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting its first ever ranking event on the snooker calendar, 4th round out of 10 in the Snooker World Tour. Manama, the capital city of Bahrain, plays host to this new snooker tournament on 8-15 November. The new event contains a total of 38 entrants that consists of the world's top 16 players, 16 qualifiers and an extra six local wild cards. The inclusion of these wild cards will help in bringing the level of Middle East snooker up to world class standard, thus expanding the game around the globe. Among the 16 top ranked players attending the tournament are current world n 1 Ronnie O'Sullivan, world n°2 Stephen Maguire, world n°3 Shaun Murphy, two-time World Champion John Higgins and Snooker legend Stephen Hendry.
