Is it possible to unlock a nokia 2610 without having it unlocked with a cable.

Just had a look and can find info on the 2600 only, not the 2610.

try googling turbo sim I dont know if it unlocks 2610 but unlocked a 6500. this item fits under sim and opens for any network costs around £5.99. no software or cables required if you remove turbo sim the phone becomes locked again.

may be worth a look
