TV in Tenerife - alternate STB??

In Tenerife certain TV channels are transmitted via microwave, received by 'normal' aerial and using a Opti*** 7000A decoded. The STB has had some 'adjusting' done - menus are not accessible.
Does anyone know, can another STB be used to pick up this signal - there is a spare Vantage X211S sitting around.

didn't this lot get busted not long ago? seem to recall it was a chinese manufactured stb used
