sorted Pheeeew :respect-050:
kept power button pressed when it rebooted and stopped the bootup,
noted the ip addy and used the DM800 bootloader Web Interface
to load a new image into flash :biggrinjester:
can't remember who it was or find the post with the instructions as to how you stop the bootup with the ip addy displayed in LCD panel but thankyou whoever you are :respect-020:
Glad you got sorted spider would have helped only I was asleep :respect-048:

This happened to me recently. I was running gemini 3.8 on dm800 (bootloader #62) I decided to install the very latest bootloader (#67).
After the installation I was stuck at this point, rebooted several times but couldnt get past it. Then had to reinstall gemini 3.8. After installing gemini it reloads the bootlader that came with the file (in other words it put bootloader 62 back on).
For anyone who gets stuck in a loop and cannot get the ip address stage by holding standby button on boot up.
Google angry ipscanner. Install on your PC and this will find DM`s Ip address via your network.
I myself have had a few scary moments playin with differnt boot loaders and skins. :respect-048:

Argh.
I have a sililar issue. I can't complete the boot. If I use an expermintal image I get vmlinux on the lcd and the splash on tv but no progress beyond that. If I try an other image in flash I get the lcd to show Dream Multimedia and a progress bar that always stalls just under the R in dream.
No problem using the web loader to drop new images. All appear to load but none finish boot.
Help!

Use dreamup and load an official image.
Should take about 2 hours with the 8000 lol:001_07:

Are you sure you are not just being impatient :) E2 is notoriously slow on first boot as you probably know anyway.
Other than that disconnect any and all USB devices, CF, SD, DVD and HDD and try again.
Good luck and let us know how you got on.

Yup 75 Minutes it says... so lets see what happens next. Freeking thing, but still I hope it works.
I called the shop and they will take it back and try to get it going or replace, but **** i have to ship from ireland to the uk thats going to take more than a week, so ill be quite happy to put in the 77 minutes.
QQ - Before i kick this off, what image do you suggest? the iCVS one posted in the 8000 images section, or a expermintal enigma image, or something else?

To find the IP address of the dreambox, you can use the normal tools
Like DCC :
It will scan all ip's in the network for you,in the configuration tab.,use the search button.
