does anyone else have a problem with channels haveing no signal and have to rescan to open them this happens with mine on 28e fta channels and 1w nova sport is one that as to be rescan every time i turn the box on. will this be a software prob or will the box be faulty

have you made the factory setting after the software update ??? This is very important for the stability.

Hi yes done factory reset after every update what i find is when i go from 1w to 28.2e some channels say no signal what i have to do is go into menu and highlight advance scan dont have to scan come out on the channel and it opens without haveing to rescan im useing invacom single lnb and usals

after a mth trying diff things still comes up no signal on some channels
put the original soft back on with diablo cam in and all works well. now i loaded latest firmware and its back to rescans so back to original soft and diablo cam allso diablo can read the uk s-y card my 918hd as never

new firmware from german site 2days ago still f--k all for uk s-y card this 918hd box is crap wish i had got technomate

They have a huge list of problems which will be fixed, so be sure that the support goes on and that this problem is in the list.

From firmware V103.42 and up, something seems changed in the database layout to favour fastscan.
Loading "older" database gets several channels to fail.
Best option is to rescan all from scratch.
If using CD or TVV make sure to enable those sats, scan them AS LAST and individually. (TVV and CD channels will not all be found if just scanning astra-ku... weird but fact)
And turn the "fastscan option off", it messes up about everything.
