rs232 software update

is it possible to update software via rs232 for this model I know usb is usially used but a friend has loaded wrong software into his receiver did the same thing myself with m vision 9800usb but cured with null modem cable just to add would it be possible to transfer software from one receiver to another would this possibly bring it back to life model is fortec passion

I always update my inno box via the null/rs232 cable!! Takes much less time and works just fine!!!

Did you ever find an rs232 loader for this machine in the end I've drawn a blank and Fortec won't release their version.
