Either 8.203 or 8.300 are the only v8 software versions available at the moment - I'm using v8.203 installed over a working v8.011 on my Go500. Will upload a copy of the v8.203 software I used & post link in a new thread later.
Thanks Russell1 just what i need, at the moment i have 8.011 with 8.05 maps working fine.

Think it will be OK for you - but make sure you have a full working back up copy first so all can be restored just incase it doesn't work.

Have just updated my Go300 to run software 8.2 and map 815.2003 and have also transfered all my favourites across, using the mapsettings.cfg file.

Thanks Russell , but I can't get it to run on my 300. Downloaded 8.203.9717 and followed the instr. to the letter but it freezes on the opening tomtom screen. Looks like I will have to restore the backup of my V7 maps.

I got the software and maps to work on my 300, but it freezes and reboots if you try to navigate to a postcode
It will navigated to a POI or stored favourite with no problems, so am pretty stumped :frown:

Think I've seen this problem reported elsewhere - try using QWERTY keyboard setting & use small characters.

It's working (but not perfectly) for matt_dci - so should get a bit further than you are getting - have you got a different memory card you could try in it ?
