Here's a copy of the software I installed on my Go500. I added it to version 8.011 already installed & working on my memory card.
Make a full working back up copy BEFORE you try this.

RUSSELL when i start to run RunMeforDCT.cmd its says cant find maps
dont think the maps are in your download ,and when you click on **** from map its empty

No maps in the above download - just the software. Maps are posted in this section -

You will still have to activate the map using the easyusetools.

OK Russell used a new card the tomtom screen comes up but thats it . what can i do to solve it

Have you activated the map with the easyusetool ?

yes russell done what you said on the pdf file, i have all my files on the sd card do i leave them on or take them off.

and if i take them off do i only put the root folder on the sd card after
doing the maps

Sorry if I am not sat at my PC all day waiting to reply to your posts. If you took your time to read the threads posted in this section everything you need to know is already posted, many other members have successfully updated their tomtoms with the files & info already provided.

russell what im saying is the pdf instructions you give ,ive followed these .

patched the map and done evertything exact.

but what you dont say is what to put on a new card .

and what to replace on a card with all the tomtom original stuff on.

on the new card i jut put the root file on it.

and on the original card i delete the map put the new one on
and put the ttsystem on

none of these work.

could you please tell us what to do

In first post in this thread you might of noticed I posted that I added this to an existing v8.011 software I already had installed on my tomtom.
So start from a blank memory card - then add the v8.011 from this thread -

The above version will not work with any of the v815 maps.
Next add the software from link in first post in this thread & overwrite any existing files.
Now add your new map & use the easyusetool to activate the map.

YES got it working but cant get tomtom 2.5 working .and if i do get this working will i get mapshare

Ok got the home working and its getting mapshare something i didnt get before

now that i have mapshare will i be able to get the update from this to keep the map up to date
