Surrealistic comedy-fantasy by director Terry Gilliam, with Craig Warnock as Kevin, a young boy snatched from his suffocating suburban existence for a series of bizarre adventures in time and space by a band of renegade dwarfs led by Randall. The Raid (Film)
Based on real events, this film stars Van Heflin as Major Neal Benton, leader of a group of Confederate soldiers who escape from a Union prison in New York and take refuge in Canada. He then comes up with the daring plan of crossing the border to take a small American town, creating a second front and diverting the North's attention from the South. But his spying mission is upset both by his affection for war widow Katy Bishop and the disruptive influence of fellow officer Keating in Hugo Fregonese's fascinating Civil War thriller.

Volcano (Film)
Mick Jackson's disaster movie is set in Los Angeles, where, to use the movie's tagline, "The coast is toast". The famous La Brea tar pits start bubbling, the first signs that a dormant volcano beneath the city has come to life, and before long lava is flowing through the sewers and the streets. Taking charge of the disaster is Mike Roark, head of the city's Office Emergency Management, assisted by scientist Dr Amy Barnes and his second-in-command Emmitt Reese. Can they save the city by diverting the threatening lava? Edited for content.

Hans Horn's chilling film stars Eric Dane as Dan, who invites a bunch of his friends, who have all known each other from high school, for a cruise on his luxury yacht. The six of them, including married couple James and Amy and their baby, have a great time and on a hot day, all dive in for a dip. But nobody remembered to lower the boarding ladder and the yacht's hull offers no grip or handhold. As the hours pass, with James and Amy's baby screaming aboard the yacht, the six are left treading water in the brine, desperately trying to work out how to survive.

El Aura (Film)
Fabian Bielinsky's second film after Nine Queens is equally fascinating and stylish. Ricardo Darin plays an anonymous epileptic taxidermist who dreams of committing the perfect crime. While on a hunting trip and staying at a backswood hotel, he has a fit and accidentally shoots the hotel owner. But when later that night, two hoods arrive looking for the hotelier to join them in a heist, the taxidermist steps in to the dead man's shoes in a bid to enjoy the danger he craves.
