@teenie
Thanks for those links. I now have ttn7.910.9185 working with
UK_ROI map 815.2024 on my PDA -- a Mio P350 running windows
mobile 5. Although the tomtom executable that it installed was a
VGA version, I overwrote it with a QVGA version of the ttn7.910.9185
executable and it has been working OK for a week now. Also copied
my TT6 list of favourites (file MapSettings.cfg) and that worked too.

paulw

Hi
I've just downloaded from
rs224l3.rapidshare.com/files/165922860/ttn7.910.9185_vga_black.cab

and opened with winzip. What do I do now?

thanks Thom

Don't "unpack" the cab file, that's the installation file (.exe) for the Windows Mobile operating system.

Just run the .cab file from your PDA

Thanks for the help, but I think I must be missing something.

When I open the download (with winrar in fact), I get 9 files none of which is a cab file. These are:
SETUP.XML
0000DATA.002
000CABAC.001
0TTTODAY.006
BTCOREIF.004
BTSDKC-1.005
NAVIGA-1.000
SETUPDLL.999
TTN6BT-1.003

I have transfered these to an sd card, but none execute an installation. Is there something else I need?

Thanks again
Thom

The downloaded file is the cab file, you don't need to use Winrar, even though it's shown as a rar icon.

Look at the download address:

I am using a P350 PDA and seem successfully to have installed 7.910 (9185) to it following earlier explanations in this thread as to how to go about it . However I am still having trouble in making the map downloads visible to TT n7. Could someone who has done this please explain in detail how to go about this. It will, however, need to be very 'Blue Peter' for me to be able to follow it.

Thanks.

Finally managed to install on my pda. Thanks teenie for talking me through this, its got more complicated since I last installed nav 6.

Only need to install maps now. I have UK & Ire 815.2003, is the install process the same for pda as go, or is the process for pda different?

thanks thom

Hey guys. I have been trying to get these maps working for a while now. not sure what i'm doing wrong. Here's what I've done so far

1. Intalled 7.450 onto my Tytn II
2. Copied over the 7.910 files from teenie's other post
3. Downloaded the uk and ireland map.
4. found my device id from the ttnavigator.bif file
5. Updated the Device ID text file in easyusetools folder and copied over the .**** file from the map folder into "inset_****_from_Map_here"
6 got the .dct file from running "RunMeforDCT", selecting navcore 8.010 and higher and "Run keygen for inset_****_from_Map_here"
7. copied the .dct to the Map folder and the map folder to my navigator folder on sd card
8. when i start TT i get "no maps found"

Anybody any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Cheers
Lambie
