What are your reasons for and against?

I guess you are not happy with the dm800?

Sold my db800 last month. Got a cuberevo instead. Happy man now.

My biggest problem with the db800 was the constant "TUNE FAIL" message each time I swapped sats.
I was using a 8-1 committed switch.

Not sure if you mean db800 or cuberevo.

So I'll tell you about both.

At the time when I had my db800 then you had to use newcs for this card.

The cuberevo again using newcs will work with this card but currently not in the sci slots.
You have to use external reader connected to back of box.

As for c/s then both boxes are linux so no problem.

Did you want x2 sat tuners if you have a twin tuner? or did you want to have a sat tuner and another type of tuner (*cough* cable)?

Ok, just wondering because I was going to say it may be a simpler solution to just buy a cheap box and keep your dm800. I think the dm800 will get better and better from now on as we see more software updates but that wont help you if it doesn't have a twin tuner. If you did sell it you could possibly make profit now that the price has gone up :D

strange that they have gone up in price,it it due to the new linux boxes coming out soon so dreammedia are pushing prices up due to lack of sales ?

My biggest problem with the db800 was the constant "TUNE FAIL" message each time I swapped sats.
I was using a 8-1 committed switch.

I had the very same prob for 5 months, not anymore: here is my solution:
